I have not been diagnosed with Aspergers, but I have my suspicions. My "obsession" is about anything animal related. I collected feathers and stuffed animals as a kid, now I collect Zuni fetishes which are rock carvings of animals done by Zuni native americans (they're beautiful--for those who like rocks, you should google it!). I LOVE to talk about dog breeds and learn about geckos. I love the zoo, and I loved playing imaginary games where I was an animal while I was playing as a kid. I read books and research stuff online all the time about various animals (especially african ones) just to satisfy my curiousity... I volunteered at animal shelters and have worked at a pet store. I've gotten internships at wildlife rehab centers. Heck, I'm going to college and majoring in Wildlife Ecology. People think I'm weird because I know so many random facts about animals and that I get excited when I talk about things like my geckos or dog breeds. I just think to myself, "Why don't you find this as fascinating as I do?!"
