I will try to keep this short..So needless to say I'm a 29 ur old female, met a great guy through mutual friends who unfortunately lost his fiancé to cancer a little over a year ago. Him and I Started out as friends then realized there was something more and decided to try dating...things were going great, when we were together we had so much fun, he text me and called me everyday (more texting than calling tho) and was very sweet in his text msg's to me. Unfortunately he really didn't want to get together much in person after 1 month of dating (we lived about 1hr and 30min away from one another). One night him and I were supposed to get together but he cancelled last min on me and was so mean in his text msg's and was a completely different person in 1 day...He called me the next day apologizing and confirmed he just isn't mentally ready to be in a relationship...I said that's ok, I get it, I understand. The only thing now that bothers me is that he texts me every day still...but doesn't text sweet things, just random things like "it's the weekenddddd" I feel bad if I don't respond...but in actuality I still like him a lot and feel its not fair...I'm in a different place and I'm ready for a relationship...how do I tell him to stop text messaging me in a nice way? I know I will prob see him in the future bc we have mutual friends so I'm trying to keep things light hearted... Thanks!
