I think I have made the right decision to stop running empty cat food cans through dishwasher to be able to recycle them. It has been too much work. For now, I will put them into trash. I am just too tired. Plus, the paper from the cans clogs the dishwasher and it is very hard to get it out.

When my city finally enables me to put dirty cans into recycling bins, I will resume recycling.

I was not driving my car for 4 years so I did make some positive impact on the environment. I need to choose my battles.
