My younger brother used to have terrible mood swings accompanied by migraines. Since two of my cousins, my aunt, three uncles, and myself have all been diagnosed Bipolar, the assumption was that he also has it. His gp suggested that he see a neurologist before considering a visit to a pdoc. As it turns out, he has bilateral Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. He was having seizures every few seconds, but we were clueless because his seizures are nonconvulsive. Apparently TLE can mimic Bipolar. I'm planning on visiting a neurologist, but I've never had a migraine. I probably just have BPD.
