i used to be friends with husband's ex-gf. it was a good friendship! until she encouraged this other guy to try to break me and then-bf/now-husband up, after which i got pretty pissed and found a reason to end the friendship, haha.

it is a common occurrence in my area for girls to become friends after they've both dated the same guy. it's hardly ever for a good reason, though. so idk. but it's normal to me.

you have a complicated relationship with someone you're interested in, and he thinks you should be okay with those complications? seems pretty normal to me, but a huge red flag depending on the circumstances. i.e., if he's still playing the field while he knows you're interested in him, then from my experience that's no good. i know guys like that, and they aren't worth it, haha. but anyway...
