A little background:
At age 24 I had a partial hysterectomy due to severe edemeterosis and in hopes to help my PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and pituitary tumor (non cancer - prolactin). Had MANY effects that disrupted my daily life. For 5 years I have felt great, no pain or anything else. However, for the last 6 months or so I have been on a study downhill fall with a lot of the effects, including pain coming back. I saw my OB/GYN doctor (the same one that took care of me all these years) and he pushed depression on me after I told him that I was not depressed because I only have the effects 2 week out of the month then the other 2 weeks (round about) I am fine. He said for me to try Wellburtin to see if it will help because it may even regulate my hormones some. So he put be on 300mg Wellburtin XL once daily. I am 2 1/2 weeks in and I feel completely worse then before I was taking it. For the first 2 days I was steady vomitting. Now I just feel real foggy, every time I eat I get bad cramps in my stomach, and I get a really bad migraine every afternoon that lasts an hour or so. But so bad I have to almost stop working because I can not focus. I have called my doctor and he said he wants me to stay on it atleast 8 weeks to see if it helps. I do not think I can take going through this much longer - for sure not 5 1/2 more weeks. Has anyone had these type of issues? Do they go away? I was also told that my doctor should not have put me on such a dose to start off with and me never have taken anything like this before. I don't know what to do - it seems like my doctor just doesn't want to deal with me.
