From experience, I can say Nursing Homes/LTC are stressful places to be---sometimes (not always) it helps to sit down with someone in HR to clarify policies etc---clearly some of the pressure/anxiety is exacerbated by your mother's response. Does she work there also? (just wondered because you say she told you how many times till action is taken etc.)-----life isn't fair, but don't second guess the reasons others may call in etc., you never really know---focus on what is good for you. And it might well be a different job, I"m sure they aren't paying you so well that you can't afford to move on. JUST saw your post re: potential new job--GOOD FOR YOU!
