in New York its illegal to even use hand free devices. here the only time using a cell phone/iphone/smart phone while driving is allowed is when calling 911 or other police /ambulance service. we cant even use a hands free device like many other states have passed laws for. our law specifically says no hands free devises and no portable electronic devises like cellphones/smart phones/...
