I promise there are not chips in the spiders, and cats are here to help eat spiders in my house, tasty snack for them. Last time I had irrational fear of spiders I shine white light around me, and they left me alone, i saw a glowing pink Aura around one spider and had a conversation with it, it agreed to stay on its side of the room, but i was delusional.
