Yup, unfortunately we can't control web browsers and when they send out updates that break existing applications, like our chat room (the same software is used by thousands of sites around the world).

What you can do is to change web browsers to use that one that doesn't break your existing web browsing needs. Firefox and Google Chrome come to mind.

IE may also have some sort of compatibility mode that may make it work with the chat software, but I don't know much about that.
