I'm sorry you've had such bad reactions. Most people are not really sensitive and wise enough to have a helpful reaction. Some of those don't really seem so bad but not knowing your illness or the context or tone of voice I could be wrong.
My MI isn't so obvious. That presents it's own set of problems.

That's how I do it too. I don't just randomly go around telling random people about my MI. Those comments were made by family, close friends, and even a doctor! (He told me that if I just learned how to drive, that would cure my depression.)
