Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all the good wishes and support!
JMB, yeah I read that about biting your tongue. And the doctor said especially if you bite the side and not the tip! Though I read online that it's actually a myth about someone swallowing their tongue during one. It was really really scary. When I came out of it I felt so weak and shaky and my heart was pounding. Is that how you feel?
Hankster, you would say something like that about the MRI! (smile) Honestly, I think it was the atavan, but I really didn't think much about the noise. The earplugs helped, and yes some of the sounds startled me, but you're right there is a rhythm and I like that the tech person says how many minutes each one will be.
And I agree with whoever said that it's a really funny sound for something like that to make. I mean it doesn't sound like what I would imagine a magnet sounding like!
I just hope this doesn't happen again. I had asked the pdoc about seizure risk too now that I think of it. He brushed me off as he does. It's really time to actively try and find a pdoc that, even if I don't love him, I at least trust him/ he speaks english well! Medicade sucks sometimes for this kind of thing! But I don't want something like this to happen again if we can help it. One of the neurologists I saw pointed out that due to my premature birth (24 weeks) my brain could have some slight predisposition to seizures even though I've never had one, and the welbutrin just kind of did it! The Pdoc didn't ask about any of this, and like I said I always feel brushed aside when I ask him stuff.
