Hi, I would like to ask what other people do about anxiety dreams. They have plagued me for a while and it's starting to have a bad effect on how I function during the day. In my every day life I experience a lot of anxiety already and it's a bit upsetting to get no break while I"m asleep.
I assume those dreams are my body's way of going through whatever I experienced during the day and/or fears about the future. They are only dreams I know

But they are so bad sometimes that I can't go back to sleep because i'm as scared as if I had a panic attack. I was wondering if there is a way to stop/limit anxiety dreams. My own opinion is that I have to deal with the anxiety..confront it. If I had a positive experience - eg. conquering one of my fears - then I would probably have less anxiety dreams..But it might take a while until I will get there.
I have tried yoga, meditation and emdr but with no effects yet. I would be grateful to hear about other ideas. thanks
