My dog is a purebred black labrador retriever. He is everything I knew he would be, and more! Such a gem (no pun.) He is going to be 15 on the 7th of December, if he lives... it's week by week. He sleeps more, belches more on less food each serving, and falls over more, but is just as happy to sneak treats from me and roll on his back. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old.

Before I bought him, I bought books about dog breeds, and also went to the library, so that I would have a dog that was just like me! LOL it's been a great ride with my doggie!

I have considered a labra-doodle, because of the no shedding deal, but think the breed still might have some glitches. I will seek a chocolate lab for my next dog, if I have any say in the matter
