Well, if you want to volunteer, then I suggest you do it at some place a bit associated with your possible majors--maybe some place where you can work with older people comes to mind, like a senior center or a nursing home. Or maybe a place with younger children like an after-school care program. These examples are off the top of my head. What I do mean is a plcae where you are helping people--not some place like an animal shelter or a food bank, where you just hand out food.

However, I suspect any volunteer work would be better than none.
