So enough of the tat-bashing. I get that not everyone "gets" it, but as children we were taught that if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all. Does this thread have any purpose at all?

First of all... I'm not "tat bashing" and the thread did have a purpose... a discussion about tattoos which you actively participated in so you should know that.
ALSO I want to remind everyone that this is simply HOW I FEEL about tattoos... I'm not saying that everyone who gets one is going to regret it... or that I don't like tattoos... or even that every person who gets one is permanently acting on a temporary emotion... but I'm saying FOR ME, that would be the case.
My moods, thoughts, ideas, "what I like" changes drastically all the time... so FOR ME I could never get a tattoo because there is nothing I would ever want permanently inked to my body. FOR ME It would be an action upon an emotion to get one... and I know FOR ME, I would regret it later.
If you have something you want on your body forever then kudos to you... I would never "bash" someone for it. I just can't say the same for myself... that is all!
