So enough of the tat-bashing. I get that not everyone "gets" it, but as children we were taught that if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all. Does this thread have any purpose at all?

You're waaaaaay too defensive when no one's on the offense here. There's always a chance you might regret your tattoos in the future, even if you love them now. It's always something to consider when you're getting inked, and you can't say that the people cautioning you are 100% wrong. Disagree and do your thing, but always good to consider the reason why someone would say something and the reasoning behind what they said.
And the OP made it pretty clear it was just her opinion, and she's already been extremely respectful and even supportive towards people with tattoos, but being a forum is it not a place to exchange ideas, even if it's not something that everyone agrees with?
