Since I take 500 mg calcium w/ D & try to get 30 min. of sunlight when there is sun, I doubt that would be it...unless my body isn't absorbing it. I've taken Celexa several years, but my doc decreased it by half when the research came out about what was considered safe for women to take. I set up an appt. for a well woman physical today. She always has a CBC drawn, but would that show up a vitamin D deficiency? I've had pain for over 2 yrs. & hate it when it's so severe I can't even sleep. Thanks for the encouragement & hugs.
Hi!
Joint pain will be in your joints, like your hands, knees, spine, etc. For me it was in my neck very very bad, it was in one of my knees and there was a spot on my spin that was really sore.

Well it sounds like your vitamin D and C are being taken care of by the supplements, however, sometimes ppl dont absorb it properly (or so I've read). That doesn't mean that your body isn't. Vitamin D deficiency won't show up on a CBC I believe. I've had CBCs drawn over the last 2 years and none included vitamin D. I've read that doctors won't test for it unless it's requested. Maybe you can call your doctor and check to see if your vitamin levels were checked.

I don't want to worry you about this, but after finding out about my low vitamin d levels I am always quick to warn someone now to take their vitamin and calcium. Especially since it took almost 2 years for someone to figure it out. And it's such an easy fix. My fatigue went way, my aches went away (for the most part--I have mild arthritis in my neck anyways, but the low vitamin d made it 10000 times worse), I am able to sleep completely through the night, the gaud awful muscle cramps went away and I am not waking up super stiff in the mornings.

I hope you figure this out very soon! It's awful to be in pain for so long and not know why!
