I'm not really surprised at the news I got yesterday. I dropped out of my college classes last fall (all except one, but the professor dropped me because I didn't show up the last day--I forget why, even, although there was an excuse) and dropped out of the classes I signed up for in the spring because some things happened that I won't go into here. I was really hoping to start fresh next fall, for which registration starts today, but I can't register until I pay back money given to me for financial aid. Like I said, not a surprise, but nevertheless a depressing fact. They want $1,154 and change, plus there will probably be another $409 tacked on for my TAG award, because they sent me the check but then cancelled it afterwards.

I have the option of going to a college in my county, but I have to take at least three basics classes, or retake the placement test and try for a better score, and I really don't want to do that. I was really looking forward to taking my acting classes, and I was all ready to sign up.

I knew the storm was coming, but I'm just feeling frustrated, because I did this to myself, even knowing what it might cost me. I don't suppose anyone knows if there's a way I could sign up for classes and just pay a couple hundred a month? I mean, as long as I keep paying, could I at least get my financial aid for the fall and attend classes? Probably not, but if anyone knows anything that might help me, I'd appreciate the advice. Thank you!
