Skype is a great tool for things like this, and Hamster and Big Mama gave great advice. Ultimately, if your feelings towards him and his towards you are strong enough, you two can overcome quite a bit. It is just a matter of knowing truly in your heart that you both love each other to wait on one another, which though I pose it as a "simple" matter, can be hard. I won't lie to you and say it's easy, per se...it's not. I've been in a similar position to yours, and it is hard not being able to be there at times, particularly when the other is going through something difficult. But it's not impossible, by any means..."amor vincit omnia." Love conquers all. Perhaps a little vague as far as advice goes, but I think the phrase is pretty applicable here. It's just a matter of truly knowing, you know?
