I'm glad to hear your good news. I agree that therapy shouldn't just be a "chit-chat" time, but rather it should require work on the part of the patient, getting at what might be triggering the depression.

Of course, the initial sessions can be just talking--so the therapist and the patient can get comfortable with each other.
