wow... a lot of emotions behind this thread.

I have a couple of tattoos, and I love them.
but at the same time, I totally respect the OP's point of view.

when the OP said they were expecting backlash.... did anyone else find that a little strange? this is supposed to be a support group, and every time someone posts something controversial, they expect the backlash.

Some people might tell them how wrong they are and that they should think about this and that. Others may get real defensive... while others still will be just plain rude.

Seriously, if you can't talk about anything controversial on a support group website without expecting backlash, then what's the point of it?

Guess it goes along with learning how to defend yourself inside and out of the support website.

I'm happy though, cuz I felt that I learned a lot.

I just don't agree with the fact that the OP is concerned about backlash for sharing an opinion, and I hope that all of the "supporters" on this site really considers that.
That everyone here considers the fact that others are afraid to post cuz of the backlash.

not so much of a safe place anymore, in my opinion.
