I spoke last week with my psychiatrist about the use of the "lemon thing" I refer to often. She agrees that it's a way to help relieve symptoms of insomnia. So I recommend squeezing 2 lemons into about 6-8 oz. of water and drinking it; and then go back to bed right away. That should calm the mind enough to get you to sleep.

If you have far too much acidity, however, you're going to need to start it 4 hours
before bedtime; then, at bedtime, repeat the 2 lemons squeezing them into water, etc.; that ought to do it for you.

I keep a supply of lemons in my refrigerator and use them occasionallly when I feel
that acid is too high in tissues and fluids. Indications of that are irritability, anger,
anxiety, and insomnia.
