If you are unsafe, it's best to go.

I don't know the policy of that particular hospital, but if you are a danger to yourself or others the standard type of policy is that you may be admitted for 2-3 days after being assessed by a pdoc/md.

But, if the assessing pdoc/MD does not find you a danger to anyone and medication is part of the treatment you may not be admitted to the psych ward.

I think that how it's usually done in North America. I don't know what happened when I went to ER, I was unconscious and they labelled me medical.
