Hang in there, J. I have this problem as well, and I'm not taking any psych drugs except for the Naltrexone.
In my experience, its not that you actually forget, its that you're so distracted by the million other thoughts racing through you mind at the speed of light, that by the time you get back around to needing to know what you did 5 minutes ago, that thought is buried deep in some jumbled mess and its very difficult to retrieve it.
That's when I stop, close my eyes, and try to replay the last ten minutes or so, and remember what I did. This usually works, but sometimes I'm not so lucky.
Frustrating doesn't even describe the feeling
