I do have headphones and use them constantly to no avail. I would have to spill it to my managers and I am not prepared to do that, not yet anyway. I could talk to HR but in the past those that have and have confided have regretted it painfully.
What about just regular ear plugs? I have foam ones that put most noise to just a dull murmur.

As for talking to your supervisor, you wouldn't have to spill. Just say that you need your quiet and that the people around you are disturbing you while you work. You don't have to tell them anything about your internal issues at all, as it is none of their business. If you are good at your job and don't have any issues with your supervisors, they should understand and be cool with it. (if this was not true at my job, i'd be in the market for a career change, but thankfully atm i work with a bunch of other people with problems who seem to understand if i'm having a bad day, haha)
