I don't think it's ever a mistake to tell your friends when you're having trouble and "ask" for support. No one is pitying you, we're too busy all being in the same boat! We're glad you're working on expressing it for us, helping us to see "your" unique angle so we can get a better picture to work with. Not all "tries" are going to end in success but we have to keep trying. That's the whole job and I think you do it well.
