I guess some professional have this self barriers, especially in the mental health field.
Things can be a different picture about when it's about themselves of someone in their family.
My first reaction was "sigh...." about your parent attitude. I don't think it's helping the situation.
May be the term "psychologist" triggers your parent.
The school psychologist position seems to passive to me, since he/she need your parents permission.
Can you see a counselor without letting them know ?
How about seeing a counselor (outside or inside school) ? Is there any teen or kids phone line (by government in your city) that you can call ? (and that they can suggest you any future resources to go to ? )
