I'm not sure if I replied to this already but showering is like a major major ordeal…sometimes I go ages without a shower…I realise that is disgusting and it is also hard to admit. But why sugar-coat things.
My hair is the worst, so long and takes ages, so when I get energy/motivation I just tie my hair up and have shower.
Other times I fill sink and use wash cloth.
I'm glad you posted this thread actually because it really illustrates how self-hygiene can be so hard to maintain when under severe depression or other mental health struggles.
