Hello, I'm new to this, so here goes..I have OCD and I'm struggling with being a Germaphobe. I'm at my wits end with this, I'm constantly washing my hands to the point that they're raw, I'm also washing my clothing a lot due to fear of germs on them (water bill is getting pretty high). I hate coming in close contact with anybody, even my boyfriend for fear that they're germed or "diseased" if they don't wash their hands. I have many other problems because of OCD (I also have BDD, Depression, and a few other problems, as I was raped as a child) I also have a bad urge to snoop thru things too. There's more to my story, but right now I'd like to see if there is anyway I can help myself with these compultions and obssesions with germs. I'm getting to the point of a nervous break down, as it is stressing. I'm in constant reach of hand sanatizer. I also want to know if anyone has any affective self help techniques to lure away the thought that I'm sick or diseased because I touch a door nob, or something that I think is dirty.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
