I have an issue that comes up now and then during my period, and I was wondering if others have the same problem, or better yet, a solution? Ok, let's say I put a tampon in, then a little while later, I have to go to the bathroom (and let's say, just to pee, not No. 2), but it's too early to take the tampon out, because it hasn't soaked up enough blood to pull it out without leaving myself too dry inside to put in a new one. So, I leave the tampon in and pee, and then carefully clean myself, but for some reason, the tampon has pulled out just a little bit (even though I was careful not to tug the string), so that it can be felt and is irritating a certain spot in my vagina, causing it to feel chafed and burning. I have pain with intercourse (although it's been years since I've had that, but the sensitivity is still there), and it's in this same area where I feel the pain then. I plan to mention this to my gynecologist next time I see him/her (there are a couple of people I might get in the office), even though I don't expect to find out why I have this pain, since I've been asking gynos for years with no luck.

I usually will take the tampon out and wait until I'm bleeding freely again to put another in, because if I try while it's too dry, the tampon will be difficult to get inside, and won't go in far enough, and then I'll have to pull it out because it hurts too much (in that same burning area). Does anyone have any ideas, because I usually have to pee at some time when it's not time to change my tampon? I hate having to "get messy" and deal with the blood, so I like to avoid it whenever possible. Thanks in advance.
