Well! It's up to you. I guess that if I were you I would give it a try to see how you like it. You decide. Give it a sort of probation period of 2-3 sessions or less. I know how you feel. I don't find CBT,DBT or whatever its called too useful. I feel that those kinds of classes are for people with ZERO healthy coping skills. Plus I don't trust the Doctor who invented it. He probably NEVER experienced trauma in childhood or at any time.
So you decide if your gonna like it & see if its worth the money you pay. Your psychiatrist needs to let YOU make up your own mind about going or not going.
So try it. Me? I'm not so crazy about the groups because I'm not too crazy about hearing other peoples issues since I have enough of my own to work through I just don't have the patience. I prefer one on one counseling.
