Try to remember the things to be thankful for - don't let your "mind" tell you who you are - the real person is usually in the heart and in the things you do for others. I heard someone once say that in social situations try not to think about yourself and let the focus be on the other person -- let your focus go "outward" instead of "inward" - I thought that was good advice because I am literally so "self" focused sometimes that my mind does take over - turn your mind outward to those around you - it might feel different. Don't give your mind the time to think these things - you can do it!!!
