I'm sorry to say, sexual side effects don't usually wear off, and can, in fact, become permanent, even if you get off the drug(s), according to my reading. I am dealing with that myself. My pdoc gave me a med that is apparently for allergies, but I guess it's supposed to help me become horny when I want to...which isn't what I wanted. If I'm not aroused to start with, it's kind of hard to become motivated to get that way. I don't want more pills, but if I had to take a pill everyday (this one he gave me is just for when I want to get aroused) to feel normal (or moreso) everyday, I'd take it (barring dangerous or unpleasant side effects). The drug he prescribed--I get the generic, so I'm not sure what the brand-name is--is Cyproheptadine (4 mg). I haven't tried it yet, so I can't tell you if it works for me.
