I would practice working online at the local library or something. Take your computer, they usually have a network you can connect to these days, or, use their computers or use your computer to write or do other non-internet work, etc. But that would help me with getting comfortable in public while letting me do my own thing.

There are jobs "out there" that don't have too much public interaction and there are jobs that are partly out there and partly online. Figure out what you would like to do and then work toward doing it. Limitations can be worked around or through, don't start with what you "can't" do, start with what you want to do.
