To the contrary - I absolutely believe we can be in love with our therapists! For me, a therapy like the one I describe is all about love!! I'm sorry if something I said led you to believe I was saying that.
If you were my client I would have added in more sessions - because the pain of one session was clearly too much for you - rather than leave I would have suggested what you really need is more. I listen very carefully to what the client is saying and wouldn't have allowed the distress to continue that way - i am sorry that happened to you.
