Oh, yes, I can relate. I have felt that way many times!
Tv never, ever works for me. It only stresses me out more. Music helps me relax. As long as the music is classical or nature sounds ~ no words. If words, that only gives me more to think (worry) about. I bought a clock radio with a sleep function to help me fall asleep more easily. It will play ocean sounds (my fave!), a brook, birds (that gets me too anxious), and something else.
If you still have too much energy, maybe sitting down (in another room) for 20 minutes to read a chapter of a book; crossword puzzle or word-search; write in a journal...then try going back to bed again. No tv in bed. Just light music or white noise.
Very best wishes to you! You'll do just fine tomarrow. Keep repeating that to yourself ~ as many times as you have to. You will be fine, the day will go by, and hopefully you'll make a friend or two!
