Ok, I thought KY Jelly would be a good option, and told my boyfriend to get either Vaseline or KY, and he got Vaseline. I'll get some KY for my next period (I'm just about done for this month).
Soups, this isn't from personal experience, but I've read that virgins can use tampons, too. The hymen doesn't cover the entire entrance to the vagina, so you can slide a tampon in. However, it can stretch your hymen a bit, so that might hurt. You can probably contact a tampon maker and ask for a free sample, so you don't have to buy a whole package. Or ask someone, but you'll probably want to start with a teen tampon, since you've a virgin.
Go to
Tampons Tampax - Mother Nature - Period - Puberty – Tampax.com. You can find all kinds of information, and I highly recommend the newest ones, called Radiant. They're easier to grip as you put them in. There's information for putting in your "first tampon." Click on "Coupons and Samples" to get a free sample.
