I have what I refer to as "fragile days", usually when I am depressed, which means I most likely won't do anything involving talking to strangers or even acquaintances (such as getting gas or going to a store). But I feel for me it's more a symptom of the depressed episode than separate social anxiety.

Yours may be a symptom of a part of the cycle.
