Fatigue is certainly one of the manifestations of depression. "Lately" -- how long ago did the extreme fatigue start? A full medical exam - if possible - might reveal something not related to depression.
Another issue is the quality of your sleep. If the sleep you are getting is not genuinely refreshing, then its duration is less valuable in itself.
