I'm a wife and mom, I live in a very small town. I normally am an RN, but I have hurt my knee and need another surgery, and so right now I'm just working part time at our family business. I don't like it, I am not used to only working 3-5 hours a day, and I'm not used to being in pain all the time.
I have been depressed as long as I can recall, and have just switched to Cymbalta four days ago. I was on Celexa before. I have, at different times, taken Effexor, Wellbutrin, Zoloft, Prozac, Paxil, and Lexapro. They eventually have to increase them, and when it stops working, I switch. I am also diagnosed with ADHD, for which I currently use Ritalin, and anxiety, which I do not treat, because I do not like benzodiazapines. They just absolutely wipe me out. I just can't take them.
I take Relafen, an arthritis medicine, for my knee. I also take Aleve for pain, Vicodin when it is bad, and use ice packs. If I ignore it, it will get really bad and I will get dizzy, sweaty, and throw up.
I also take Ambien if I have trouble sleeping. I don't like being on all this, but idk what to do.
Does anyone else take Cymbalta and find it effective?
I hope it helps. I lay in bed and cry a lot, and like to be alone. I will not eat or shower when it is real bad. I don't like to live this way. I just get so tired of it.
I go to counseling, too.
Thanks.
