Did he put anything on the form in addition to psychiatric conditions? Because if so -if you need clearance due to other conditions- maybe that was just an add-on?
Did he say you could get cleared by your PCP or do you have to see a psychiatrist? Because if it's just your PCP, maybe the psychiatric condition isn't really the issue. If it is an issue, maybe since it seems you mentioned that you 'might' be going on medication for it, he wants to make sure you aren't (or know what you will be on) before he puts you under. I would think if you started to take especially a sedating medication before the procedure, maybe it would affect the anesthesia given.
I'm just trying to think of other possibilities, because it would be so bizarre to have to get cleared psychiatrically even if it were a major surgery, much less a dental procedure.
