Lola, it's perfectly ok not to go to BR with W. You don't get much time at home. I know when I used to travel a lot for work, a weekend at home was all I wanted.

My mom passed away a year ago yesterday and today would have been her 83rd birthday. My best friend and I took the day yesterday and just played - went to a mac-n-cheese place for lunch and then hung out at the mall like teenagers. Best therapy ever.

I called Dad yesterday (because it would never occur to him to call me to see how I was doing) and he wanted me to come for a visit this weekend, when my sister will be there. I've never been so glad that I have surgery on my hand Monday morning, so I had a good excuse not to go. I'm dealing with a bunch of issues around him right now and I just don't think I can be chipper and perky all weekend.
