Thank You!! My son is in counseling, getting used to his meds, and trying to cope. He seems better, and wants to work things out with his family, so we are all here for him. He indicates that he does not want to go back to the church they belong to as the members were really harrassing him.It is the Apostolic Church, and there are people from the congregation elected to be ministers like the Amish and Mennonites do. They have no formal training in the Bible or in handling problems, and the harrassment pushed my son over the edge. Ministers were hounding him on the phone, and following him to the other home they own when he wanted to be alone and think things out. They told him he was wrong, and he is not. Both he and his wife need to work this out. They are both wrong!! The rest of us are trying to help out with the four young kids. So, that is where we are right now. I am telling my son that he does not have to ever go back to that church, and the counselor is telling him the same thing. The wife, on the other hand, so far will not give it up. I feel that another church would help them heal as a family, but that is their choice. Too bad, but some churches seem to get way too involved in peoples personal lives, and this does a great deal of damage. I would not like that, but that is my choice.
