I had the following problem last June: I was sleeping inordinate hours - yes, 16 hours. It was partly hypersomnia as some "left-over" depression. I started working after being unemployed for 6 months and I was so much afraid that I would not make it to work in the morning. Also, I was falling asleep in meetings. It was seriously embarrassing.
Things got better over time, with some help from coffee, and stopping Depakote (which I stopped for other reasons) helped, too. The situation basically got straightened out without stopping all the medications - I did ultimately stop all the medications, but much later and not in connection with this problem.
So, this is just to mention that hypersomnia 1) may not be a result of drugs - it may be a symptom of depression or its aftermath, or, 2) if it is a result of drugs, there might be one drug causing it, so you may be OK dropping the culprit only.
I hope you succeed, any which way!
