I thought I supported them as well.

Until the current guy (who was once married but currently is not, and no, I would not marry him even if he were interested in that, so the whole discussion was purely theoretical) said a couple of days ago:

"It is unethical to get married, as a heterosexual couple, in a state that does not allow gay marriage, because doing so would amount to using an unfair advantage / a special privilege not afforded to other citizens".

That was pretty radical for me and after that I realized that I had not been supporting gay marriage enough. While I did not actively plan to marry a man, I had never thought that I should restrict myself until California legalizes gay marriages.

But after thinking of it... he does have a point.
