She'll eat and drink for a few seconds, forget what she's doing and wander off. I bring her back and she's overjoyed to see the food and water again. Anyway, she has also started just peeing or pooping wherever she happens to be when the urge hits her and that's the part that is just enraging me. I KNOW she's not doing it on purpose and I'm still having trouble with my anger. We have another older cat, who for some reason, has turned into Mr. Clingy this week, and he keeps reaching out a paw and touching me constantly if he doesn't have my undivided attention (like he's tapped me four times already while I type this giant long rant). Again, that should be considered sweet, right? No! I am having a hard time not just screaming at him. Ugh. I need to get a grip.
Demented old cats are rough. We had one who would get lost if she left the room we were in - she would sit and just wail/scream until one of us went to her or called loud enough for her to hear and then she be all like "yea, I am found" - it was challenging when she would do it in the middle of the night.
