My own problems are in part complicated by a somewhat dysfunctional early family life. I'm informally trying to piece together the psychopathology of my parents and grandparents. For you I would hope gaining insight into your own family's issues might assist you in coping with your present severe distress.

Thanks so much for validating my feelings and offering support. What you said is very insightful and I have tried to work my way through it on my own but it`s difficult...I came to this blog for self-help as I am reluctant to go into therapy. I find it hard to talk about it face-to-face even though I am aware that it`s the most helpful option. It costs money, I guess.
Take care
