I had a similar reaction to concerta a few years back. It really is awful when you don't react well to meds, but I'm glad you knew something was wrong and you had to switch. Talk to your doctor about nonstimulant meds if you want to switch again- they may make you a bit tired but they help a TON with the anxiety caused by other meds.
