I can really empathize with you about this. I am a very nostalgic person. People, places, and songs from the past effect me strongly. There are still things I love about several people I have been with. I have been married a few times...and while they did not work out , I learned so much about myself and grew in many ways. There are still things I love about my first wife, and remember specific moments as if they happened yesterday. With my second wife, I remember all of the trips...hiking, traveling. What I've learned is that every person we love touches us and changes us in some ways. Do you really want to get this person out of your mind? How about celebrating the cool things they brought into your life and figuring out how you want to build these things into your life now. What can you learn about yourself from this experience?
